East Michigan District Export Council (EMDEC) consists of around 30 seasoned exporters and export service providers, individually appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, to become part of this select corps of trade experts dedicated to providing international trade leadership and guidance to the local business community and assistance to the Department on export development issues. DEC Members are recognized for their experience in exporting in their respective regions and their commitment to volunteerism on behalf of the local exporting community.
The East Michigan DEC works closely with the Detroit and East Michigan Export Assistance Centers of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s U.S. Commercial Service and supports the U.S. Government's export promotion efforts.
