The East Michigan is pleased to announce that Mike Allocca will be returning to Detroit in September 2016 to present a 2-day seminar on Export Compliance, International Documentation for Exporters and the new Automated Commercial Environment System (ACE) for Importers and Exporters.
DAY 1: EXPORT COMPLIANCE
Upon completion of this program, you will be aware of the new export security requirements for all exporters. You will have an 11 point checklist to guide you to full compliance on every export. You will become aware of the required 7 lists that must be checked on all exports, and understand what common red flags means to you. They will review the 5 questions that you are required to know about your customer in every export transaction and discuss strategies on how to implement these into your organization. You will walk away that day with a better understanding of the regulations and with specific tools & instructions on how to begin building a secure and compliant department & company.
DAY 2: INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTATION & AUTOMATED COMMERCIAL ENVIRONMENT (ACE)
How many times have you just filled out a document not knowing what all the required fields meant and copied it from a prior document simply because that has always been how things are done? Have you ever been told that your shipment is "stuck" in customs because of lack of information or a document that is missing or not filled out correctly? How many times has your company been charged for unnecessary "documentation" fees or held up on a shipment because the documents had to be corrected? If you just want to make sure you are filling things out correctly or you have questions, problems or delays due to documentation problems this training program is a must for you. You will also be introduced to ACE- Automated Commercial Environment for importers and exporters. Learn how to file using the new ACE system for your EEI- Electronic Export Information. You can also run detailed reporting functions for your imports/exports and review what your customs broker is submitting to US customs on your behalf. Review what a forwarder is filling for exports on your behalf, as well learn how to self-file and save time and money. In 2016 the government will be phasing out the legacy AES-Automated Export Systems system for filing your EEI- Electronic Export Information for exports. Don’t miss out on this important training.
Topics covered:
Export Compliance:
International Documentation:
ACE:
The Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) system designed to facilitate legitimate trade while enhancing border security. ACE will improve collection, sharing, and processing of information submitted to CBP and government agencies. By the end of 2016, the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) will become the Single Window - the primary system through which the trade community will report imports and exports and the government will determine admissibility. Through ACE as the Single Window, manual processes will be streamlined and automated, paper will be eliminated, and the international trade community will be able to more easily and efficiently comply with U.S. laws and regulations. You will learn how to utilize the ACE system and remain compliant with the new filing requirements.
